The benefits of using organic essential oils in your skin care

You might be vegan, care about the planet, or just want to live a healthier lifestyle. You should care about your skin as much as you care about what you eat, the use of plastics and global climate change. Why? Because all these are inter-related. Using plant-based organic essential oils in your skin care has so many beneficial effects. However, use them wisely as they can be very concentrated and should be diluted sensibly in carrier oils rather than in their pure form.

At Wild 4 Men we only use organic plant oils in all our products. Here’s a list of the oils we use and their health benefits:


Aloe Vera – soothes the effects of shaving and has antimicrobial properties.

Bay Laurel oil - intoxicating herbaceous fruity and fresh fragrance with antibacterial and antifungal effects.

Bergamot oil - a wonderful citrus note to calm your mood.

Castile soap – a completely natural liquid soap made from saponified organic coconut and sunflower oils. Gently cleans and will not dry out the skin. Particularly suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Cedarwood oil - has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory properties with the calming smell of pine forests.

Cinnamon oil – has effective antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Citronella oil - an effective antifungal agent and used to treat skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.

Coconut oil - an effective moisturiser and aid in the treatment of dry skin and eczema.

Fractionated Coconut oil - moisturises and protects your skin without any intense coconut smell. Light and easily absorbed.

Frankincense oil - aromatic citrus note with earthy tones providing soothing properties for your skin.

Lime oil - a purifying and uplifting scent with astringent properties to fight odour.

Oakmoss oil - a deep earthy scent with antiseptic properties.

Olive oil - anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and locks moisture into your skin.

Pine oil - excellent deodoriser fighting odour creating bacteria and microbials.

Sandalwood oil - calming and promotes healing and boosts mental alertness. The king of fragrances with a deep, woody scent.

Shea butter - hydrates and has extensive anti-inflammatory properties.

Sunflower oil - an effective shield for your skin naturally containing Vitamin E.

Sweet almond oil - helps moisturise and is easily absorbed by the skin.

Sweet orange oil – strong antibacterial activity and uplifting sweet fragrance.

Tea tree oil - due to its bacteria-combatting capabilities, tea tree oil makes a great natural cleansing ingredient, and can calm redness and itchiness.

Vegetable glycerine – antimicrobial and antiviral properties, and as a humectant helps skin retain moisture and alleviate dryness.

Vetiver oil - calming and promotes healing. The smell of freshly mow grass.

Vitamin E - revitalises and protects your skin.


Plant-based organic essential oils not only smell good, but enable you to dispense with using all the chemicals and artificial fragrances used in personal care products which are so harmful to your long term health.
